Leigh Feldman Joins Writers House Literary Agency
Edited Press Release
Literary agent Leigh Feldman
has joined Writers House after 20 years as an agent at Darhansoff,
Verrill, Feldman. At Writers House, she will build on the agency's
literary fiction and narrative non-fiction lists, as well as continue
representing bestselling YA authors such as Sarah Dessen,
the
NYC-headquartered agency said in a press release.
Writers House was
founded by Chairman Al Zuckerman, a former novelist, who continues as
Chairman and senior agent, with President and CEO Amy Berkower and COO
Simon Lipskar serving as Managing Partners.
"I chose Writers House because of their reputation among agents,
authors and publishers as being strong author advocates who have a
comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the business,
specifically I'm impressed by how well they have grasped the
complexities and opportunities of digital's emergence in book
publishing," said Ms. Feldman.
"Most importantly, they're big enough to have the kind of leverage
needed in today's complicated marketplace, but their approach reflects
the kind of personalized service usually associated with boutique
agencies."
Feldman has represented several major books during her agenting career
including Charles Frazier's "Cold Mountain"
and Arthur Golden's
"Memoirs of a
Geisha."
