BASS: Here’s the down low on ‘Hi-Fi’

We’ve been wondering why folksy pop/art band Lodger is a huge online phenomenon in Europe -- their site has had 3 million unique visitors so far -- until online record label e-Recall announced the North American release of their latest album Hi-Fi High Lights Down Low and sent us a weird yet creative cartoon video for the track Doorsteps.

View their video here with this warning: you will laugh, gasp, and possibly take up cigarette smoking.

Recall Records has been very active in online music promotions since well before the recent launch of their online imprint. They led the successful worldwide release of Guy Ritchie’s 2005 movie soundtrack Revolver in digital-only format, and in early July launched L’art De La Nappe, the first album in a new series of compilations from Hotel Costes.

Check out the e-Recall site to get your Lodger dose, plus phat beats from the label’s other electronic artists like DJ Cam, Ricardo Villalobos and Junesex.
