Mood Wednesdays kicks off in L.A. with MC Lady Sovereign, DJ Crash
In Los Angeles, the Grand Opening of Mood Wednesdays hosted by the
Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, Playboy Playmates of 2006 and
MC Lady Sovereign kicks off
tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 10) with special musical guests and DJ Crash,
who is the resident DJ for the Playboy Mansion. Event organizers are
also serving dinner, and WORD’N’BASS.com readers can win seats on the
guest list.
Dinner by chef
Keven Lee is
served and doors open beginning at 8 pm at this 21-and-over event,
which runs until 2 am. Organizers are requesting that men "wear
jackets" but in our books a tracksuit is good for any club or
restaurant. Mood Supperclub is located at 6623 Hollywood Blvd., in
Hollywood.
If you’re in the
L.A. area and want to be on the guest list with your friends, we've got
your hook-up. E-mail us at editor
(at) wordnbass (dot) com to win free entry into the festivities.
To be eligible just tell us your name and that of your favorite DJ.
We’ll choose one winner.
Separately, we
hear that Lady Sovereign (pictured left) played quite a show at San
Francisco club
Mezzanine on Monday night. A local MC dressed in a giant donut costume
made his way to the stage during Lady’s performance and challenged her
to a battle. She would have none of that, and after the crowd erupted
in chants of "Battle Jelly Donut!" and sent
beer flying at the stage, she resumed performing an excellent show.
Two things: Why can’t we be in Los Angeles instead of San Francisco for
tonight’s party with Lady Sovereign? And who is this unnamed MC in a
donut costume? 'Fess up!
