Recall Group launches online imprint e-Recall with NYC party
Edited Press Release
Recall Records announced the launch of its new digital-only imprint, e-Recall, which will focus on
launching artists and projects in digital-only format using creative
marketing and distribution tools within the new media environment.
Recall Records will host Recall Lab #2
on Wednesday May 10, at New York’s Hiro Ballroom.
e-Recall will feature exclusive content in the form of free music
downloads, streaming video, news, mobile content and a chat/discussion
area for Recall artists including Grand
National, Jehro, Border Crossing and Thomas Dybdahl. e-Recall
will also act as a digital imprint for on-line only releases from new
and developing artists, including Junesex
and Waterboy.
e-Recall was designed as a space where music lovers can discover new
artists and music makers can upload their new music for feedback. In
addition to exposing music lovers to the great music of Recall Records,
e-Recall also aims to discover the best undiscovered music on the
planet – from our own fans. A special "demo" area will allow aspiring
artists to upload sample tracks for review by Recall's A&R staff
and the music community. The best tracks and artists will be eligible
for commercial release via e-Recall.
To celebrate the launch of e-Recall, Recall Records will host Recall
Lab #2 on Wednesday May 10, at New York’s Hiro Ballroom. Headlining
this event will be MYLO, who
is making his first return to the U.S. since February’s domestic
release of his highly-acclaimed debut album, Destroy Rock n' Roll (RCA/US and
Recall/France). Earlier in the night, guests can enjoy the U.S. debut
live performance by buzz worthy world/pop music talent JEHRO, who's 'Caribbean Soul'
influenced self titled debut album was released in the U.S. on April
25th (Recall). DJ Angola
(Bungalow 8, Lotus, APT, Marquee), G.O.V.
(MaltShop) and talented VJ CYLO
will also be joining the line-up of this all-night-long music event
along with other exciting and diverse acts. This event will also
premier an experimental "room fragrance" technology from LeLabo, the
recently launched, cutting-edge cosmetics brand.
The Recall Lab sessions launched at Hiro Ballroom on February 15. The
goal is to present an innovative evening designed to challenge the
common club or concert experience and provide a locus for media
professionals, artists and music fans. Presenting a wide array of music
within one party, the night features live acts as well as DJ sets in a
diverse and innovative music space.
Recall Lab Sessions bring together partygoers along with advertising
agencies, music supervisors, record labels, fashion houses, as well as
print, broadcast and online media professionals. The event serves as a
"lab" for industry executives eager to explore new musical horizons,
while at the same time being a powerful networking gathering and
memorable party. Recall Lab #1
featuring DJ Cam and Grand National (live) was a major
success, attracting over 900 guests including about 250 top industry
professionals, and received extensive interest and coverage from the
media.
