WORD: Queen Literary Agency readies
Anthony Pellicano bio. as Hollywood waits
New York literary agent Lisa Queen
will soon shop a book proposal for client John Connolly about Hollywood
private investigator Anthony Pellicano
that could have celebrities shivering in their Gucci suits,
WORD’N’BASS.com has learned.
Pellicano, who has been associated with actors such as Tom Cruise, Sylvester Stallone and
California Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger, is stewing in jail awaiting racketeering
charges. The bio. reportedly will have new information about the
investigator’s ties to Hollywood. He allegedly performed illegal wire
taps while spying for certain celebrities, among other things.
"This proposal will be shopped soon," said Queen, who did not know
whether it would go at auction or in a pre-emptive deal. Author John
Connolly has reported for magazines such as Premier and Vanity Fair.
Queen launched the Queen Literary Agency in March after heading IMG
Worldwide’s shuttered literary division. Her firm continues to work
with IMG and maintains their clients as well as newly proposed books,
she said.
The Queen Literary Agency, which reps mostly nonfiction authors, has
recently cut book deals for Peter Kaminsky and Frank Stitt. It is
especially interested in business books as well as titles by well-known
chefs, radio and TV personalities, and athletes.
