WORD: Crime author Sakey drops short story eBook 'Scar Tissue'

In somewhat of a suprise announcement, crime author Marcus Sakey said he released a new e-book "Scar Tissue," a collection of seven previously published short stories. One of the shorts included in Scar Tissue is "The Desert Here and the Desert Far Away."

The short was selected as one of the best shorts of 2009 by International Thriller Writers and nominated for a Macavity Award.

Also, Sakey -- who penned popular crime novels including "The Blade Itself" and "The Amateurs" among others, said he just finished his fifth novel. No title or premise was available yet, but it'll be in bookstores in Summer 2010.
