BASS:
New Amaning & Stunna 12" out on BS1 Records - with audio
After making its long-awaited return to the Drum 'N' Bass scene with a
relaunch and signing of producers such as Kubiks last year, BS1 Records is
back with a hot
new 12" from respected producers Amaning
& Stunna who collaborated with renowned producer Blame on a two-side disc.
BS1, which had
renowned UK producer Blame remix side A, announced that the 12" has
been on limited promotional release among DJs in the UK in recent
weeks and launched worldwide at the end of January. BS1's description
of the vinyl
record is as follows:
A: Amaning & Stunna -
"Landslide" (Blame RMX)
We've had this one on plate for a while now, and its time has come for
release. Dropping straight in to those raspy riffs and pumpin'
staccatoed b-lines that characterizes D&B, Landslide is an out and
out dance thriller. Combine the talents of Amaning & Stunna
alongside Blame on the remix duties and you are guaranteed toughness of
the highest pedigree.
AA: Amaning - "Jupiter Rising"
"Jupiter Rising" in true BS1 Records fashion offers the more
intelligent option. Deep and congruous in its structure, there is a
real journey to be had here. If UFOs land on earth we are sure they
would classify this language as culture. Synth pads, dreamy fx and long
contoured baselines give this track its own distinct feel.

As reported
previously, BS1 Records returned to the DNB scene in
December 2007 with a harder, bass-heavy sound after taking a production
hiatus for several years. Check out the BS1 Records
website for more information on the label as well as some
banging audio.
